Delete a lost or broken key fob

If a key fob or access card is lost or broken, an administrator can delete it in the web portal.

Written by Amanda Ivarsson

❗ Deletion in the web portal is permanent. The key fob cannot be restored or registered again in Parakey, even if it is found later. If you still have the key fob and want to reuse it, clear it in the Android app instead.

Permanently delete a key fob or access card

  1. Open the relevant site in the Parakey Web Portal.

  2. Go to Keys → Key fobs and access cards, and open the key fob.

  3. Choose to delete the key fob and confirm the permanent deletion.

❗ The deletion is transferred automatically in the background when a user unlocks each lock with their phone. If the key fob needs to be blocked immediately, make sure an authorised user unlocks every affected lock with their phone after the deletion. Until then, the key fob may still be able to open the lock.

If you have lost your key fob

Contact the person responsible for access at the site as soon as possible. The administrator can delete the key fob and help you get a replacement.
