Change which locks a key fob or access card can open

In the web portal, you choose which locks a key fob or access card can open.

Add or remove access

  1. Open the relevant site in the Parakey Web Portal.

  2. Go to Keys and select Key fobs and access cards.

  3. Open the key fob you want to change.

  4. Add the locks the key fob should be able to open, or remove the locks it should no longer have access to.

  5. Save the change.

💡 Whenever a user unlocks with their phone, changes to key fob access rights are automatically transferred to that lock in the background. All users with mobile access help with this, on both Android and iPhone. A change takes effect once it has reached the lock.

Change several key fobs at once

You can select several key fobs in the web portal and use the bulk actions to change their access to locks.

Keep the key fob but remove its access

If you want to keep the key fob, you can remove its access to the locks. You do not need to delete the key fob itself.

Permanent deletion in the web portal is intended for a lost or broken key fob. A returned key fob that needs to be cleared and registered again is handled in the Android app.
