You need to be an administrator for the site and have an Android phone with NFC, the Parakey app and the key fob at hand. Support for programming and managing key fobs on iOS is under development.
Register the key fob in the app
Open the Parakey app and select the site where the key fob will be used.
Open the site’s function for managing key fobs and access cards.
Choose to add a key fob or access card and enter a clear name when the app asks for it.
Hold the key fob against your phone’s NFC reader and follow the instructions until registration is complete.
The key fob is now listed at the site in the web portal.
Choose which locks the key fob can open
Open the same site in the Parakey Web Portal.
Go to Keys and select Key fobs and access cards.
Click the key fob’s name and select the locks it should be able to open.
Save the change.
💡 Whenever a user unlocks with their phone, changes to key fob access rights are automatically transferred to that lock in the background. All users with mobile access help with this, on both Android and iPhone. A change takes effect once it has reached the lock.
