Updating the software ensures you have access to the latest features and improvements. The update is performed wirelessly through the Parakey app.
Requirements to update
An iPhone or Android phone with the latest version of the Parakey app.
Internet connection.
Owner, Administrator, or Installer role on the place where the device is installed.
A valid mobile key to unlock the door, gate, or similar.
How to update the software
💡Note that updating Parakey Range Extender works differently than for other devices. Please follow the instructions further down on this page.
Parakey recommends keeping the door or similar slightly open during the entire update.
Open the Parakey app, stand within 3 meters of the lock, and press its name/Update software.
Press Update in the pop-up window and follow the instructions in the app.
Alternative way to update the software
Sometimes smaller updates may be available without being “promoted” in the Unlock view. In such cases, follow the instructions below to update the software.
Keep the door or similar slightly open throughout the entire update and stay within 3 meters of the lock.
Tap the three dots next to the lock’s name.
Under Tools, tap Update software.
Follow the instructions in the app.
Update Parakey Range Extender
💡Remember to also update the associated Parakey Slim using the instructions above.
Stand within 3 meters of the Range Extender you want to update.
Tap the three dots next to the lock’s name.
Under Tools, tap Update Parakey Extender.
Follow the instructions in the app.
