The Parakey app only uses location to enable unlocking. Parakey never tracks your position and does not use your phone’s GPS.

For iOS users

Parakey does not require access to location in order to unlock using the app.

For Android 11 and older

On Android 11 and older, location access is required to use Bluetooth to connect to a lock. You therefore need to allow location access when the app is active.

For Android 12 and newer

From Android 12 onwards, access to nearby devices is required instead.
