Collect key fob access logs from a lock

With Collect logs, you can collect all key fob access logs waiting in a lock. This is useful if you need the entire pending history or if the lock’s log memory is full.

You need administrator permissions and must be at the lock with the Parakey app.

How to collect the logs

  1. Open the Parakey app and make sure your phone has an internet connection.

  2. Go to the unlock view and open the tools for the relevant lock.

  3. Select Collect logs.

  4. Stay within range and follow the instructions until the app shows that collection is complete.

If you have several locks with pending logs, you need to collect them from each lock.

If the log memory is full

Currently, each lock can store up to 400 logs. Support for a significantly larger number of logs is planned in a future software update.

When the memory is full, unlocks with a key fob or access card are stopped until logs have been collected and space has been freed up. This is an initial limitation to ensure that all key fob access events are logged. A future software update is planned to offer an option to overwrite older logs so that key fobs and access cards can continue to be used even when the memory is full.

Use Collect logs, then try the key fob again. A normal mobile unlock currently collects only some of the pending logs and does not necessarily clear the entire memory.

💡 400 is the lock’s log capacity. It is not a limit on how many times a particular key fob can be used in total.

If the memory fills up often

This may be because the lock is used frequently with key fobs and less often with phones. Review how often logs are collected and establish a routine for this.
