This feature helps ensure that each Parakey account is used by the correct person. By limiting how often an account can be used from new mobile phones, you reduce the risk of users sharing accounts with others while improving traceability and control.
Go to Settings and then the Security tab.
Activate the Prevent account sharing feature.
💡 The default settings do not allow an account to be used alternately across multiple phones. However, one phone change is permitted every 30 days to avoid blocking users who have got a new phone.
This means that a user can sign in on a new phone once during a 30-day period. Unlocking will then only be possible from the new phone. At the same time, the user's account is automatically signed out from the previous phone, which is also blocked from unlocking. If additional phone changes occur within the same period, all of the user's keys will be deactivated on the most recently signed-in phone.
You can adjust these settings if needed.
💡 Time period to analyze (default: 30 days) specifies how far back the system will look for phone changes and attempts to use the account on different phones. The number of days cannot exceed the retention period you have configured for personal data in the logs.
All mobile phones used (even outside the analysis period) can be viewed by opening the user’s detail view.
💡 Tip! You can also receive a warning if potential account sharing is detected. 👉 Learn how to enable the feature.
