PDL - Rotate latch and auxiliary bolt

Ensure that the latchbolt and auxiliary bolt are correctly oriented.

Tip - Don’t lose the button

The red button can be easy to lose. A good tip is to place tape over the button to keep it in place when removing the faceplate.

Instructions

  1. Ensure that the battery is not inserted.

  2. Unscrew the screws holding the faceplate in place.

  3. Remove the faceplate.

  4. Remove the auxiliary bolt, rotate it 180 degrees, and reinsert it. NOTE: Make sure the bolt hooks into the catch marked in red in the image below.

  5. Rotate the latchbolt 180 degrees.

  6. Reinstall the faceplate. NOTE: Do not overtighten the screws, as this may cause the motor inside the lock case to work harder.

  7. Screw back the screws securing the faceplate. Done!
