Create a key schedule

Create a recurring schedule for when a key should be valid. You can also add exceptions, e.g. for public holidays.

Key schedules are used to restrict when a key is valid – for example, if the key should only work on weekdays between 7 AM and 6 PM, you can easily set up a schedule for this.

  1. Go to Schedules and press Create.

  2. Name the schedule, set the time zone, and choose to create a schedule for restricting keys. Then press Next.

  3. Select the days you want to create a schedule for, specify the hours during which a key with this schedule should work, and press Add.

❗️ For users who don’t have the latest app version, the schedule is rounded to the nearest full hour with minimal access: Start time rounds up (e.g. 08:01 → 09:00), and end time rounds down (e.g. 16:59 → 16:00).

💡 You can add more time intervals for one or multiple days by repeating this step.

💡 You can also edit time intervals for each individual day.

  4. Press Next.

  5. Add any exceptions to the schedule – these will override the regular schedule for the specific weekday.

    1. Select a date and press Add.

    2. After adding an exception date, you can also define custom times for that day – e.g., if the key should be usable for a shorter period than usual.

💡 If you don’t specify a time, keys won’t work at all on that exception day.

💡 You can add several exception dates.

  6. Press Create.

  7. Apply the schedule to one or multiple keys.

💡 When you change a schedule that restricts keys, the update is automatically applied to all users with keys using that schedule.

Create a schedule spanning multiple days

Use the End of day toggle if you want to create a schedule that spans across days, e.g., from 8 PM on day 1 to 2 AM on day 2. In this example:

  1. Set 8:00 PM to End of day for day 1.

💡 End of day means 23:59:59 – this ensures the schedule works without interruption. If you set it to 23:59, there will be a gap between 23:59:00 and 23:59:59.

  2. Set 00:00 to 02:00 for day 2.
