Parakey works actively and systematically to ensure that our digital services – both our app and web interface – comply with the requirements of the Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882. Our ambition is to make our solution accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, and we see this as a natural part of our quality and sustainability efforts.

Here’s how we work with the four accessibility principles:

#1 - Perceivable

  • We strive to ensure that information in the app and on the web is clearly presented and accessible using assistive technologies.

  • We review color contrasts, text size, and alternatives for images and icons (alt texts) in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA.

#2 - Operable

  • The user interface is designed to be operable via keyboard and other alternative input methods.

  • Navigation structures are reviewed to ensure logical flow and simplicity, especially in complex functions such as digital key management.

#3 - Understandable

  • The language used in interfaces and instructions is continuously evaluated to ensure clarity and consistency.

  • We work to provide clear feedback during user interactions, such as error messages and confirmations.

#4 - Robust

  • We develop according to modern web standards and test across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.

  • We aim for compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers and magnifiers as part of our product development.

Standards and compliance

We aim for both our web and app to meet WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA, as well as relevant sections of the European standard EN 301 549. As we develop new features and interfaces, we conduct ongoing accessibility evaluations.

Customer responsibility and supplier role

We are fully aware that our customers – as public entities – are responsible for providing accessible digital services. That’s why we see it as our obligation to support them by delivering systems that meet legal requirements.
