If a calibration fails to be completed, and it is not due to the hook bolt being engaged, this indicates that:
The door fittings (handle, cylinder, etc.) may be tightened too hard.
The lock case is mounted incorrectly or skewed in the door or is under tension because the fittings have been tightened unevenly on the inside and outside.
