Require biometric authentication before unlocking

Require that users unlocking with a specific key verify their identity once more using face recognition or fingerprint.

  1. Go to Keys and press the key you want to enable biometric authentication for.
    ​

  2. Under Permissions, press Edit.
    ​

  3. At Require biometric authentication to unlock, press the dropdown and select:
    ​

    1. Yes – to only allow biometric authentication using face recognition or fingerprint.
      ​
      ❗️Users with older phones that do not support biometrics will not be able to unlock with their phone. Choose the option below to ensure these users can still unlock.
      ​

    2. Yes, but allow passcode as fallback – to also allow authentication using the phone’s passcode.
      ​

  4. Press Save.
    ​
