A developer app or multi-place integration is the preferred way when you want to integrate with many different places.

To create an app in Parakey you need to contact us and explain the purpose of your app. Once you are approved we will activate the development hub. A dashboard where you manage your app at My Parakey.

How to get started

Before you get approved as an App-developer you can follow the instruction in Place API (single place integration) to get started and try to invite users to your own domain.

Moving to a production-ready app

Once you have tested your app using the Place API (Single place integration) and you are satisfied that it works as intended. Please contact us at [email protected] with

  • An email address to use for your app. It needs to be a generic email that you have access to. For example [email protected] or [email protected]

  • An explanation of the purpose of your app

  • What endpoints you are going to use.

  • Contact information for your app.

We will then create an app-account for you when you sign in you will see the following development dashboard.

The development hub is where you manage your API places, Access tokens and webhooks for your App

Generate Access Token for your app

Once your app account is up and running you can create an Access Token to use for your app. You can create up to 5 access tokens per app. You can reuse the same Access Token for all places you integrate with.

How to add your app to a new customer

When a new customer wants to integrate with your app. All they have to do is add your client Id to their app settings. Then you tell them to sign in to Parakey, go to Settings, then Integrations and click on "Add App". Enter your client Id in the window and press install. Your app will now have access and can manage this place. You should see them in the list of "Your API Places" on your development dashboard.
